"Hey.. Wait.. Are you guys twins or..?"
I was in Stockholm for almost a week, settling some life business, and of course, when in the same city, there's twinning to be done for me and Jözz!
Best thing about me and Jözz twinning is the confused looks we get. I actually had a moment of confusion myself when Jözz got stuck at red light across the street, and I felt like I was looking at my own reflection.

Look at this cute little dorkfaced butt. ♥
Until next time! ♥

Many people have confused us as a couple, and I'm just going to go ahead and stomp that notion right out since both me and Jözz are in other relationships. We just happen to love each other a lot in all the other ways.
Confusing, I know.
Bottom line: not in love, not into each other. Bam.

How do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?
How about love?
- Season of Love, Rent

I'm totally super late about this. Like, more than two months late.
But me and Mako celebrated a year together in February, and she got us these gorgeous portraits from one of my favorite artists as a anniversary gift.
The sounds I made when I saw them for the first time was not human. I adore them so much, and I can't believe how lucky I am to have someone who knows me well enough to do something like this for me.
So it's a little late, but I really just wanted to show the portraits off, ok?
I have a perfect partner. ♥
Until next time! ♥

April fools and silly violets

I loved violet flavored candies as a kid, but then I totally forgot about it growing up.
However, C came along in my life and reminded me of it, and now we share a common love for anything with violets. So when I found a licorice/violets flavored chocolate on my last trip to Stockholm I knew we needed it.
So she came over for coffee and violets in the early spring sun, and we fooled around with violet flowers and I spilled coffee all over myself (not that warm luckily!).
Great afternoon in great company.

Also look at my new cute phone case! (yes my phone is terribly cracked, I have a very bad case of butterfingers....) It's princess Bubbelgum and Marceline the vampire queen from Adventure Time, in Sailor Moon outfits! I actually got it for my friend about a year ago, but she changed her phone and couldn't use it anymore, so I adopted it back haha. Recycling! ♥

Bonus selfie! So happy to have this widdle squid back in my life! She sucks for leaving for Thailand for ages just after coming back, boo.
Since I've been so busy I've been piling up on a lot of things to blog about, so expect a lot of updates soon!

What's more fitting than to blog about my last trip to Stockholm whilst on the train there for my next trip?
I finally got around to go and see the Blue Potion Café that my friends work at!
It's a lovely little café, located inside one of Webhallen's stores in Stockholm. My friends work there in cosplay, and the interior of the café is overflowing with all things nerdy and video games. ♥

Cutiepies in action! I got to pick out Joss (left) costume for the day, and I picked Junko from Dangan Rompa in her megane persona because loooook at thaaaat. Darling Elvina wore her Anastasia costume. ♥

Look at that staff. The charm, the grace.

Cute mugs, painted by another employee! ♥

I had a twinkie for the first time in my life, and was so disappointed. It was nothing special at all if you ask me..

The bathroom is Super Mario decorated! It was so cool! I didn't get any good photos inside though since it was way dark, but hopefully I'll get more opportunities.

Zelda coffee and watermelon ramune(Japanese soda).

I went there twice during my stay, and on the second day we had a small celebration for Joss, since it was her birthday! Happy birthday you big bad nerd. ♥
I really liked Blue Potion Café.
Coffee, staff, atmosphere and interior was 12/10!
I could kill for a job quite like it, it's such a dream! Too bad I know and like the current staff too much..

Are you celebrating Valentines Day? ♥
Yes, yes, I know, Valentines Day has been pushed forward by companies wanting to sell cards and chocolate and flowers and ugly stuffed animals and yadiyadiya, but I've always been a fan of it!
Even though I think that it's important to show your loved ones that you care every day - let's face it - life doesn't always allow it.
That's why Valentines Day is important to me. Either I've been single or in a relationship, I always want to take some time and express my love and caring towards the important people in my life. ♥
This year, I stumbled upon this cute tutorial, and I wanted to make one for Mako - but in spirit of Valentine's day!
We recently watched Big Hero 6, and since we LOVED it and Baymax is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time, I decided to take some inspiration from his downloading of data and then quoting it out loud - since I felt it fit the card perfectly!
I changed the top border to red, and put pixel hearts where the loading bar used to be for a cuter touch. ♥

I feel like it's very fitting with a throwback to one of my favorite days in all of 2014 to be my last blogpost this year.
I looked over some photos that my friend Tomas took of me and my dear, dear friend Jözz when we were doing a twin-look at the last day of Banzaicon in Larvik, Norway, one perfect spring day in April.
I looked over some photos that my friend Tomas took of me and my dear, dear friend Jözz when we were doing a twin-look at the last day of Banzaicon in Larvik, Norway, one perfect spring day in April.

The weather was so warm and nice. It was amazing, and so uplifting after the chilly weather so far that spring. We lived a ten minute walk away from the convention, and we walked there together.
Can you believe how beautiful the surroundings in Larvik are? I just adore the location for Banzaicon. The venue itself might be rather small, but the nature around it - holy shit, it's breathtaking.

I refer to this shoot as our "honeymoon photos", haha.

These photos are such a happy place for me.
I look at them and I just feel the sun on my arms, the only ever so slightly chilly breeze, I hear my friends laughing and I taste that ridiculously tasty vanilla jellybean soda they sold at the convention. ♥
Banzaicon was such a good experience. We were a little stressed before and after our first performance, but after getting to know the stage we had our best dance performance to date(holy shit the LIGHTING they made for us, the CROWD we had - they were AMAZING.), I met most precious Mir, (a boy who had written and excited post about our group coming on tumblr and given us such encouragement, and I can't begin to describe the love I felt for him when I spotted him singing along in the crowd. I have a lot of feelings about Mir, he's a precious friend), and I got to meet so many lovely, positive and sweet people.
Wow. I really need to go to Banzaicon again.
Now I'd just like to wish all of you a very nice 2014 and whatever's left of it where you are - see you in 2015. ♥

So I know that I'm super late, but I hope you all had a spooky and safe halloween! I was going to take a ton of photos, but that didn't really happen.. I spent 31st catching up with my friends from first year in high school, having dinner and introducing them to Mako. They all behaved very well(no embarrassing storytelling of mini-me from the high school ages whatsoever. Quite the shock!) and it was such a nice evening!
I went as a dead boy because I was so tired from work so I couldn't be bothered to do much more than makeup and a wig, but I thought that hey, if I crossdress it'll look like I tried.

On November 1st we had a belated halloween party with my other friends, and I went as a snobby vampire lady! Here I'm with my two gorgeous ice elf friends and my vampire girlfriend. Such a blast!
I was so happy with my makeup that night, and are t these lenses just gorgeous?! So vibrant! I'll probably make a review on them, because they're just that great(and I can't remember the name of them right now..)

So, I'm one of these people who's always a little messy.
I don't know how, or why I do it, but I rarely manage to keep my space neat and tidy. It's always clean - mind you, but none the less a little messy.
Until sometimes in a blue moon, when I go into cleaning frenzy and tidy my room as good as it gets.
Last time that happened, I took some photos~

My messy lil' beauty stand and even messier crafting corner.

The blue container with an anime girl on is Japanese rice wine that my friend left for me when he moved to Japan. Not all that tasty, but very cute! In the middle you have my collection of VIP/working/guest/performer badges to different cons I've been to with my AKBabes. Desucon has sooo cute badges! They're all precous memories and sort of trophies to me, proof of all our hard work up until now. ♥

My Panty and Stocking Galaxxxy version figurines! They're the only figurines I've bought for myself, and I love them so so much. Some day I hope to cosplay this version, it's so colorful and funky!

My collection of polaroid photos as well as a cutout from a newspaper that wrote about me and the girls' second performance at ConFusion 2013! Someday I hope I can get myself a polaroid camera of my own.

These lil' cuties are soooo dear to me! My friends surpried me with them when we were in Japan! I looove the anime Star Driver, and while these actually come in sealed boxes, my friends peeked inside(they were on sale so who gave a damn really) and made sure to get the whole available cast for us! Each and every one of us took our own characters with us home, but I got five instead of just one or two characters each. My friends are the sweetest. ♥

This wall is one of my fav things in my room. The painting in the middle is a graduation gift from my friend C. She is so annoyed that I put it up since it's not finished, but I just know that if I give it back to her now I'll never see it again. Sure, it doesn't have any background, but I really love it and how rough the bare canvas in the back looks. It's my favorite piece of art. I also have a photo from AKBabes first performance, one of me doing my sister's makeup before her wedding, one of me and some of my my fav girls at Tokyo Disneyland, photos of me and my japanese hostmother and sister, a cosplay print I got from my friend Tomasz, a minimalistic Satsuki print I bought at Desucon and yet another drawing by C to mention some. So many memories. ♥
Apart from a tidy room I have a very busy period of time ahead of me. School, work, organizing for ConFusion, cosplay and well - life. Wish me luck!

Yesterday was cleaning day.
I'm a pretty very messy person, and I tend to let my room become a battlefield before I get sick of it, polish it to perfection and then let it fall back into the same chaos for a week or so.
Yesterday was one of those days when I really felt like curling up under my covers and ignoring the world, but I rolled my sleeves up and got on with cleaning, tidying, organizing and unpacking my bags from my Stockholm trip.
However, the middle drawer of my desk was jammed - and I'm actually surprised it hasn't gotten stuck way back since that's where I keep all of my stationeries, letters and postcards.

Since I was a kid I've always loved writing and receiving letters. I've gotten a little bad at it lately, somehow the words doesn't really flow as freely as when I was 14, but I've kept almost all of the letters and postcards that I've gotten over the years, and this is only a franction of my collection.

I have two overflowing boxes and a very thick file filled with words from loved ones all over the world - even though most of them are in Japanese or Swedish.

I think letters are one of the sweetest ways to communicate. While I'm a pretty impatient person who prefers text and phonecalls in most cases, there is nothing like receiving a thick envelope filled with the rambling nonsense or a friend who picked up a pen to chase boredom away, or BIG NEWS that you already heard trough facebook or other social media - but still can appreciate so much more now that it's written in their own sprawling or flowing hand writing. ♥
It seems I might have to pick up my never ending chase of decent stationeries again(I have yet to find any shop that carries a decent supply of stationeries in Sweden..), I have some Japanese friends that I haven't talked to in far, far too long.
Until next time. ♥

!!!PICTURE HEAVY. RUN WHILE YOU CAN!!!
It's been roughly two weeks since my yearly trip to Närcon, a Swedish convention that's held every summer in Linköping.
It's one of my favorite events (only surpassed by Desucon and Confusion), and it has a very cozy, festival kind of feeling since it's very open and many of the activities as well as both stages are outsite!
Närcon 2013 was also the very first convention me and my AKBabes performed at, so this year was a sort of 1st year anniversary for us! We've gotten so far, and in only one year we've been to Finland twice, Norway once, been invited to Denmark and also performed at three events in Sweden. I'm very proud of our hard work and all the friends we've managed to make in such a short time.

This one event was also a little special since we were all group members together for the first time, including our two newest babes and our three members who live in Japan! Here is a photo of us together with a cosplayer from Jojo's Bizarre Adventures, doing Jojo-esque poses because we're actually more derp than we'll ever be pretty.

I really love this costume! I think it's adorable how half of us wear pink with black shoes and white socks and the other half blue with white shoes and black socks, I love our bows that we tie with neckties and the overall mix of sporty and cute.
I also think that this dress is one of the most flattering and well made pieces I've sewn in my 6 years of cosplay!

All photos above are courtesy of my dear friend Artano photography. ♥
But I brought another three costumes to Närcon. Yes. Three. A little too stressful for my taste, but you learn as long as you live I suppose, next time I will not be bringing as many costumes - and I'm thinking quite seriously about only making bikini costumes for next year because I cannot function in heat - even less so in cosplay when it's hot. NOPE.
Solo shot by Danarki, thank you! ♥
First day, I wore my improved Kiryuin Satsuki costume! There are still some twerks and improvements I want to make on her, like finishing up my boots, making a new sword and doing my makeup better, but none the less it felt soooo much better than last time I wore her. Apart from the unbearable heat that was..!
I had the most precious group, with Joss as my Ryuko (as it should be), and Nette as the most adorable two-star seifuku Mankanshoku Mako. This girl is THE most perfect Mako, I cannot wait to show you our group photos as soon as I get my hands on them!

Second day, I wore my Sailor Star Maker. WOW. I never want to work in PVC again, even less wear it, let me tell you that much. And it was SO HOT. Kids. Do NOT wear PVC in 31°C, I repeat, do NOT. It may look really breezy but I was boiling, and my feet still haven't quite recovered from the combination of the vacuum in my boots and high heels. Oh boy. We had Mako as the most gorgeous Princess Kakyuu with us, but I have yet to recieve any full group shots that I'm entirely happy with myself on hehe. You can see her costume over at her page!

After changing out of my Sailor Star Maker costume, it was time for the gameshow, yayyy! We teamed up with one member each of the famous Youtube couple behind Eat Your Kimchi and fought for our right not to be punished(..?) in this batsu(punishment)-game! You can see the whole thing here -> (♥)
It's one of the most fun activities I've ever done at a convention, so well planned and exciting! And above anything: my team won. HA!

Group photo by Joacim Schwartz, solo shot by Danarki, thank you! ♥
Third day was the most relaxed day! We had no performances, and we "only" wore our Love Live! School idol project costumes - which also was the only weather appropriate costume I'd brought along. I love my Love Live group, all the girls fit their character perfectly and look so, so cute.

I also finally got the opportunity to meet Kami Renee and Mie Rose! I've been swooning over them both for sooo long, they're so sweet, incredibly talanted and creative. The quality of their costumes, that attention to details I tell you!
This year's Närcon really was a blast! I only wish I could've spent some more time with new and old friends, but oh well, that's just how it is sometimes. I had fun, and made lovely memories none the less. I want to send out some extra love to the adorable Suzuko cosplayer who made us kirara plushies, and to Ell, who made us cute bracelets and to everyone who took our photo/took photo with us and came to see us perform! I can't wait for the next event so that I can see people again. ♥

The other day I dragged Mako out with me to keep me company while I was looking for some cosplay supplies and a gift to my baby niece!
We ended up strolling trough a beautiful park when we were done running in and out of stores.
We ended up strolling trough a beautiful park when we were done running in and out of stores.

It was such lovely weather! ♥ I was wearing a tshirt my friend got me from Merry Jenny in Tokyo, shoes from Vagabond, and rest of it thrifted, handmade or from random stores around Tokyo.

My companion of the day, look at all that cute! ♥

It's funny with those shoes, because my friend Jözz have them in pink, I have them in yellow and Mako have them in white. Now someone just has to get the black ones and we'll have the whole collection within our group of friends, haha.

I reeeeally love them though! I usually have a very hard time finding pretty shoes that doesn't hurt my feet because apparently I wasn't built to be fabulous, but these have been just fine! The size is a liiiittle roomy, but they're so comfy and pretty I couldn't be happier! Definitely worth their price. ♥
I had such a lovely day out, away from all the cosplay and school stress! Desucon is in less than a week, and before that I have my final exam in kanji. Send help.
Now I'm off to go and get some more cosplay supplies, haha, it never ends!
Until next time. ♥

Yesterday I arrived home from Banzaicon in Larvik, Norway!
I have next to no photos to share yet, since my camera mystically disappeared during the main day! However I have great friends who have promised me some of theirs once they're done editing. ♥
Banzaicon was soooo much fun! I went there mainly to perform with my AKBabes, but I ended up having so, so, so much more fun!
I don't think I'll have any cosplay photos to show you any time soon though, since I only wore my Tokaku Azuma that wasn't even finished, and one of my outfits for Miyazawa Sae the 5th, that I've worn before, but you never know?

The last day I didn't wear any cosplay, just a casual outfit. My friend Tomas snapped some photos of it together with my friend Jözz since we kind of matched that day.

Some of my lovely friends and companions for this con. ♥
Banzaicon was a blast, the surroundings were beautiful, the weather was amazing and the people were warm and great fun. ♥
Out performance there, though some technical difficulties was the most enjoyable performance out of the 11 performances me and my AKBabes have done at different conventions!
I can't wait to be able to present some photos that will do the con more justice when I can.
Did you go to Banzaicon? And did you see us there?
Banzaicon also convinced me that getting a cosplay page on facebook was a good idea to keep in touch with all the people I meet on different events, so if you feel like it, please check it out and give me a like! ♥
Thank you for this time, and until next time, Banzaicon! ♥

As most of my friends know, one of my favorite sweets in the whole world is Jelly Beans! Imagine my delight when I saw the Jelly Belly sodas at the Banzai Café?! I'm not even that fond of sodas since I don't like carbonated beverages, but this was a different story! The French Vanilla one tasted like vanilla ice cream, I'm not even kidding.

I'm not even that fond of sodas since I don't like carbonated beverages, but this was a different story! The French Vanilla one tasted like vanilla ice cream, I'm not even kidding.

My mother opened her interior botique/café, Butik P, this weekend!
I went there to take some photos and help out.
Please stop by and have a look or some coffee if you're in the neighborhood! The store is located in Gothenburg, on Långedragsvägen 72 in Västra Frölunda! You can ride tram no.11 to Nya Varvsallén, and it's quite easy to find from there. It's open Thursday-Sunday.
Until next time. ♥

The store is packed with cute and unique interior stuff, asty treats, tea, some jewelry and toilet articles! My mother makes curtains, pillows and blankets herself, so there are some truly one of a kind items to be found. There's a lot of egg themed decoration going on too, for Easter!

And also, my personal favorite, liquorice from Denmark, LAKRIDS! ♥ Butik P sells the Valentine's edition of the year, LOVE, which is a chewy liquorice center dipped in white, strawberry chocolate(I'd prefer this over Valentine's chocolate any day, any year), a passion fruit type, same as LOVE but with passion fruit and EASTER, which is a chewy liquorice core with a crispy, chocolate cover. They're SO tasty. ♥

My favorite is the LOVE version! Do you like liquorice?

My friend Joachim stopped by for some coffee and the signature cardemom cake in the café!

I'm still no good with the coffee machine, but I really hope I can learn to get better, since it's so much fun!

Yet another little blip in the blog universe has been born. It's not my first visit here, and I dare say it won't exactly be my last.
I'm Olivia. I'm tall, a little louder than I and probably many around me would have preffered on some occassions and I previously blogged about my life as an exchange student in Japan. I'm excellent at procrastinating, having too many hobbies and projects going at once, daydreaming and I'd like to think I'm a pretty ok singer.
In this blog you are likely to find past and future trips to Japan:
