Happily ever after

Yesterday I was one of the lucky ones who got to attend my friends Benjamin and Miia's wedding!
It was a lovely day, and despite not catching more than two actual photos of the happy couple, I'd like to share some snippets of it with you.

I got to wear my grandmother's old dress and my great grandmother's necklace for the occasion. I ADORE this dress. The fabric is such a dream.

Friendly feet. ♥

Me and Mako went for matching looks, something that earned us compliments like being compared to Alfons Mucha's painting and greek godesses. I couldn't be more pleased, since Mucha's art style is one of my favorites.

The bride and groom. ♥

Silliest of friends. ♥

Me and the other three ladies who snuck away to take some outfit photos before the party really started. We felt a little narcissistic at first, but then we realized just how seldom we get to doll up to this extent and dropped that thought. ♥
It was a rather lovely day, and I put my camera down after lunch to just enjoy myself freely. The cereminy itself was held outside in the light of torches, and it was all quite perfect.
Best wishes to my dear friends, may you be happy for as long as you live. ♥
Until next time! ♥

Pastels for days

My brightest and sweetest friend Jözz came to visit me a couple of days ago. ♥
It was a very welcome chance to catch up, talk for hours, back scratching, movie night, shopping and of course - twinning.
This time however it wasn't as much twinning as it was a sort of style-swap.
Jözz has the most lovely vintage vs adorably sweet street style, and while I'm a firm believer that I'll never be "the cute girl", I wanted to have a go at being a "pastel puff" as she describes it.

LOOKATHER. The most precious face on earth. She's such an angel for coming to visit me, I've been pretty low as of late (nothing bad happened, I think I'm just quite worn out) and she was just the shot of pure sugar and love that I needed. I just wish she could have stayed even longer. ♥

The white and purple/pink swirl bath bomb - The Comforter is another favorite bath thing of mine. It smells so sweet and fresh of blackcurrant and lemon. Crumbled into a hot bath it really feels like a comforting hug - and it turns the water pink - what's there not to love?

After our trip to Lush we met up with Emelie - another major sweetheart, and tugged her along with us to take some outfit photos.

Here's the look that Jözz put me in! To my surprise I felt quite cute, and I probably want to bring some more pastels into my closet. I actually bought the coat that I'm wearing on a discount at BikBok that same day! It's super big and cozy, in some lightings it's baby blue and in some - like this photo - it comes out lilac. I've wanted a jacket in a light color for a while now, and with Emelie and Jözz' encouraging words I took the leap and bough it (haha)

The knit, turtleneck, necklace, tights and hairpins are all things that I borrowed from Jözz. The coat is from BikBok, the skirt an old one from H&M, the totebag is from Beautilation and the belt is thrifted.

Doesn't Jözz just look like a dream?! ♥ I don't remember much about where her clothes are from, but her shoes are from Tokyo Bopper and her skirt is Ank Rouge.

Emelie always looks so perfectly cute and chique too. She's so sweet and I just wish that she didn't live so very far away. I'm so happy that she was in the area and had some time to spend with us. ♥

I put her in BOY London, braided her hair and we wore our matching heart cutout jeans for lunch with Mako and movie date with Interstellar, takeaway and one last night together before she left today.
Selfie compilation! I feel so lucky to have such colorful and sweet people in my life, who understands me even at my darkest moments and rubs my back when I'm being a grumpy lump.
Thank you for a wonderful couple of days girls. ♥
Until next time!

After hanging out with Emelie we went home to my place to celebrate Mako's birthday with red velvet cupcakes, movies (Despicable me 2. I cried. I still tear up when I think of it. It was SO SWEET and fun) and some drinks.
It was such a lovely day. I was a little grumpy, and I feel super bad for it, but I had a GREAT time and I will treasure the memory during the gray days to come. ♥

The next day I got to dress Jözz up a bit more up my alley. We were a little too busy for proper outfit photos, so phone snaps will have to do. It was such a lovely day. I was a little grumpy, and I feel super bad for it, but I had a GREAT time and I will treasure the memory during the gray days to come. ♥

So after No Time November and more than half of Deadline December the time had come, and Christmas Eve had come. In Sweden, we celebrate Christmas on december 24th, and this year me and my family were at my sister's house.

Here was my look for the day. I tried to channel my inner Elsa with glitter and purple makeup.
♥ Sweater: H&M ♥ Skirt: H&M ♥ Fluffy Earrings: W♥C ♥ Shoes: Vagabond ♥

Me and my baby niece. ♥

Little puffy santa. ♥

Little M got this god awful dress from Florida that my grandmother has been keeping for aaaages, it's so ugly that it's sort of adorable. ♥

I hope you all had a lovely holiday, either you celebrate it or not. ♥
Until next time ♥

You might already have noticed, but I cut and dyed my hair a while ago!
Actually, it was because I got the opportunity to model for amazing Emma Falkensjö at Cybtekk!
I really love what she did with my hair.
Until next time! ❤

Me with the other beautiful model who's name sadly has slipped my mind.

It was such a cool experience, I had a great time and my hair looks so gorgeous and unique.
Will definitely return to Emma and Cybtekk as a customer at some point. ❤

Tahdon - I do.

Today people of all sexuality gained yet another country to get married in.
Finland voted for gender-neutral marriage today, and while it will not be truly enforced until earliest 2016, it's such a victory for so many people.
Before and after the voting people made profile pictures on facebook reading "tahdon" - which means I do. I think it's a lovely way to show support for the matter. It's a simple, peaceful and sweet way of taking a stand and saying that love is love, no matter the genders involved.
As I have a couple of friends living in Finland and is personally affected and very emotionally involved in the LBTQ issues across our world this makes me very, very happy, especially since it's so close to my own country and affects some people who are very dear to me.
Onnea Suomi - congratulations Finland. ♥

Busy busy busy!
Every day has its own task. But it was my birthday last Monday!
I turned 21, and though I spent the whole day at work I got to finally visit this super small and cozy waffles and crêpes place not too far away from where I live together with Mako.

I turned 21, and though I spent the whole day at work I got to finally visit this super small and cozy waffles and crêpes place not too far away from where I live together with Mako.

I've been passing it with the bus from time to time and I've always wanted to try and go there, it looks so cute! ♥

My handsome date and our food. ♥

It was super tasty! Will def go there again. ♥ It was sort of typical though, that once we finally got away on a date to try this new place it was suddenly flooded with pre-party-people. It was a Friday night, so I suppose it couldn't be helped, but I hope that we can go there some day soon again when it's less crowded.

I was also surprised with yet another package from Japan! My dear fashionsquid sent me so much great stuff, she's out of her mind!
Filled with my favorite Royal Milk Tea, Milky Candy, heart shaped Pocky and a new thing, salted caramel walnuts. SALTED. CARAMEL. It's my favorite flavor and just look at that tiny squirrel looking like "yes, here's your candy nuts, you're welcome."

I got a gorgeous Frozen cookies and nail polish that I tried the other day and it's just perfect, full of snowflakes and glitter. ♥

AND. Get this. A new baby to the family. I have wanted a polaroid camera for SO. LONG. And I just adore this version(intax mini 8). It comes in pastel pink, baby blue, black and white aswell, but I have a thing for pastel yellow - and as if the cute design wasn't enough, my one of my favorite japanese models, style icon and designer behind Aymmy in the Batty Girls Ayumi Seto worked on promoting this color and version of the camera, so the box is covered in cute photos of her and comes with a pamphlet filled with photos of her friends having fun with their cameras.
I can't wait for an opportunity to finally use it! ♥
All in all, I was working troughout my birthday, but I was so very celebrated with sweet messages from both friends and people I hardly know and other gestures like photos on instagram and phonecalls from across the world. Thank you all for making me feel so special. ♥
Do you usually do something special for your birthday or do you prefer a quiet day?
Until next time! ♥

Me, Mako and Sanna had a photoshoot a couple of weeks ago!
It was supposed to be very different from the beginning, I wanted to shoot something Halloween themed, but I kept getting new ideas so in the end it turned into an antirely different photoshoot.
I've been wanting to do something based around black painted hands ever since I saw this doll that posed as a model for a soot spirit ages ago. Sanna is such a star, I really love the photos.

For some reason they very much remind me of the lyrics to Cosmic Love by Florence + The Machine! They are already over used in so many ways but none the less so beautiful.

So today, after a loooong trip to town, hunting a turquoise zipper for my Elsa dress without success I came home to a chubby parcel from Japan!
My friend C had sent me so many goodies, it's like my birthday came early!
My friend C had sent me so many goodies, it's like my birthday came early!

There was a thing in high school when C put "Hesten", which basically means Horsie on her facebook name. I proceeded with calling her Hest, Hesten, Ponni and also Hestskrälle(basically a horse that's a drag..? It doesn't translate very well haha!), hence the horse signature!

So much goodies! I'm such a spoiled girl! ♥

Halloween Pocky! Basically hard bread sticks coated with something similar to white chocolate but in allll sorts of flavors. I got "Cookies & Cream", "Sweet Pumpkin" and "Strawberry". Even the bags inside the boxes has little witches on them! As expected of Japan, so cute ♥

I saw C using this when she came to Sweden this summer and it's absolutely mesmerizing how sparkly it is. Can't wait to try it out! It's the BR-2 palette from KATE.

Nana also took the opportunity to throw in my favorite sailor senshis that she got for me in a vending machine. So happy!

I also got these adorable earrings from WC! I made myself a smaller pair earlier this year when Jözz came to visit, but these are just perfect. So soft, it's like having lil bunnies cuddling my cheeks whenever I move.
Also a tshirt from the brand Merry Jenny! I got one for Christmas from the same brand, and they are so unbelieveably soft and cute! I do however get mad guilt feelings when looking at the print, even though I haven't done anything.. (Here in the background you can see only some fragments of how messy my room is right now. I've been working on cosplay all weekend and it looks like Elsa exploded in my room pretty much. eheh.)

She also sent me Royal Milk tea, my favorite beverage in the world I do believe, and also some Milky candies. So nostalgic flavors, they really bring me back to my highschool year way, way back in time now.
So now I'm off to enjoy some sweets and a cup of Milk Tea whilst studying some kaji and violently procrastinating the inevitable cleanup of my room ..

A week ago I went to Stockholm for a photoshoot and some practice for me and my girls' next cosplay show performance in December and of course to spend some quality time with my friends.
I love my ever growing circle of friends in Stockholm, they always make me feel so very welcome and loved.
And on Monday, before I was leaving I got to celebrate my dear friend Elvina's birthday.
She's one of the sweetest souls I know. She's so hard working, kind, creative and beautiful, and I'm so happy that I was there to show her some love on her birthday. ♥

Me, Jözz and Johanna got her flowers, a gift voucher, some accessories and made pancake lunch. ♥
There are some quite exciting things happening in my life right now, I really hope I'll be able to catch some photos to document what's happening.

Once I left to catch my train, some more friends joined us and I got to experience the dramatical and filmish feeling of having a friend running trough all of Stockholm central train station just to catch me before I left. Two of my other friends left work slightly early to see me for a couple of minutes. Like always, I had the lovliest time and I feel so privileged to have such lovely friends there for me. ♥

My friend Sanna needed some models for a video project of hers, so I was instructed to come in all white to the Botanical Park(garden..?) in Gothenburg.

However, that morning I woke up to a swollen cheek and eye for reasons unknown. But if cosplay has taught me anything, then it is that there are very few things that won't work with the right makeup.
So with some shading, highlighting and glasses on I looked almost normal and up for the job!

I got new glasses quite recently, I'm going to dedicate a post of their own later on, because they are well needed and very much wanted.

I stitched my AKB48 patch onto my jeans jacket the other day too. I love it so much, isn't it just too cute, or is it just me being a nerd..?
Until next time! ♥

Moonstone and Mango

My cold is slowly being pushed back by copious amounts of tea, honey, ginger, fruits, berries and sleep. I could finally go back to work last Thursday, and I hope that my immune system is building up a stronger defense for Autumn - since I currently work as a daycare substitute teacher there are quite some hugging, chasing and blowing of noses to be done, and while the kids might not actually be sick my poor defence must've fallen for some remaining whifs of a cold left on some tiny hands somewhere.
Today was my day off, but my mother needed to be elsewhere this afternoon, so I went out to take care of the store for a couple of hours before closing up.

Autumn weather requires for my sweater and scarves to come our of hiding, and I couldn't be more pleased. I love layering and cozy knits. ♥

I did a half braided thing with my hair, and I rahter liked it! My mother snarkily asked me if I hadn't had time to do my whole hair, but I love doing assymetrial hairstyles, especially since my haircut is rather plain these days.

Autumn is not only in the air, it's showing in the colors and goods in the store as well.

After closing up the store I sat down for some apple/blackberry pie and my favorite green tea, Mango Tango from Thérapie. It's full of flavor, smells heavenly, overflowing with little candied chunks of mango - and it's organic. All good things. ♥

I also asked my mother to get this ring in my size. It's silver with a large moonstone and at first sight it looks like a plain, but still rather pretty, foggy crystal. But when you move it in the light it shimmers in blue, pink and purple. It looks just magical. ♥
Until next time! ♥

I caught a terrible cold, and I had to call in sick - for my first day at work, which doesn't feel all that good at all.
Something that was pretty good is last Saturday, that I spent with my best friend and proclaimed brother Jokk.
He's leaving for Japan in two more days, and since I have work and now also a raging cold I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to see him before that, so I made sure to get at least one whole day's worth or quality time.
We started our day at Egg and Milk, a small American diner inspired place that has won a special place in the food section of our hearts with their breakfasts and brunch menu.

Now I'm going to go and try fight my cold off with some pineapple and blueberry smoothie.
Until next time. ♥

I also made the delicious aquaintance with Snapple's ice tea for the first time, so tasty! ♥

It was such a lovely day. I got to sleep in, we got delicious food, the weather was great and I had a really good time just hanging out and also watching the crappiest movie (Cowboys and Aliens) that I've seen in a veeeery long time before saying goodbye.
I really don't know how I'm going to survive without him, he's been my knight in colorful chinos, big brother, as well as one of my best friends and most trusted advisors for quite some time, it's so surreal that now he's leaving for a whole year.
So should this blog come to a sudden stop, it probably means that I've died without his guidance.
I still wish him all the best, and I can't wait to go visit him in as near a future as possible. ♥

Jözz left town two days ago, but at least I have some photos from our Sunday together ♥
The weather was so lovely, so I decided it was time to squeeze out the last of summer and wear my wonderful flower crown that Kami Renee made for me, and an all denim look!

I also wore some of my favorite accessories from Vivienne Westwood. I love my winged, pink orb earrings, they remind me so much this super cute manga I used to read when I lived in Japan for a while, Gokinjo Monogatari!

Jözz looked positively adorable as always. ♥ As soon as I look at her I get this crazy urge to cut my hair short again, she just wears it so well!

We met up with Mako for some fika, of course I got the salted caramel latte and their scrumptious mango cheesecake!
I already miss having my special twin here, can't wait until next time! Thank you for brightening my weekend ♥

My friend Jözz is here, visiting from the capital!
We have a lovely weekend, full of ice tea and mischief ahead of us.
One of our guilty pleasures being twinning, matching our outfits like the dorks we are we took the opportunity to do some stereotypical french girl coords.

I'm wearing shoes from Vagabond, satchel from Cambridge Satchel Company, a skirt from HM, top from Lindex and a thrifted white belt. ♥

"Oh, well. What's a royal ball? After all, I suppose it would be frightfully dull, and-and-and boring, and-and completely... Completely wonderful."
When I heard that The Science Fiction Bookstore were going to hold an anniversary ball I just couldn't shut up about it, and I was beyond myself when Mako said she'd go with me.
We decided to throw together costumes from Renai Idenshi XX, since the dresscode was "dark suit", "formal", "cosplay" and "costume".

Due to it being pretty close to Närcon and me having exams and whatnots we didn't have time to entirely finish their formal uniforms, so we went with the outfits without the coat (which in the end I was very happy we did, stressing together a coat just to arrive at the ball and realizing it was far, far to hot to wear anything like it for more than 10 minutes ..!).

It was the dreamiest night with so many beautiful people, I'm so happy that we could attend. ♥

Photos and edit by my always awesome friend Niew Photography.
It was so fun to see so many costumes from so many different fandoms, epochs of time and people wearing them in all ages. So different from the anime and cosplay scene that I'm used to. ♥
Not to mention that the food was amazing, and people were so nice and sociable, me and Mako had a great time at the dinner table, discussing the music, cosplay, sci-fi/fantasy back in the days and Japan travelling.

I'm currently at the airport, waiting for my flight home, and I thought I'd share some of the photos I took with my phone during Desucon in Finland!
Once at the con we got into our AKB0048 outfits and started prepping for our performance!
Huge thanks to the amazing staff, and everyone who came to see our performance, we had so much fun ❤️
Second day was Kill La Kill day! MAN we busted our butts off for this cosplay..! Satsuki really is one of my favorite characters of all time, I'm so happy I made it in time ❤️
This photo got featured on a homepage of a Finnish TV channel, I was so happy!! I'm going to try and link it when I get home ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
Last day I spent out of cosplay, and hung out with my cutie Finnish friend Anni, so much fun ❤️
I also spoiled myself with a gorgeous print of Satsuki from Kill La Kill and a bottle of my absolute favorite drink that's pretty much only available in Finland! I also got a print of my Anarchy Panty cosplay from my friend Tomasz from Niew Photography, I'm such a lucky girl ヽ(;▽;)ノ❤️
Swedish represent dorks ❤️
There was well assorted derping..
And ALL the selfies with gorgeous people! Stella (purple hair) was one of many people who helped us out and took sooo good care of us, such a sweetie ❤️
At the after party I also met the sweetest group of Japanese students who were sooooo kind to me and my friends, so glad I had the chance to meet them ヽ(;▽;)ノ
Last night was spent at my friend Rudolf's place with the cutest cats ever, I just wanted to take them home with me!

Me and my friend Jokk left early in the morning on Friday, and after we met up with the other swedes we headed to Lahti and Desucon!

All in all it was a wonderful weekend, I'm so happy I got to come back to Desucon again, people are always so sweet, the parties are great, the stage amazing, the venue even more so and I made so many new friends! Also some plans for future fun and work.
Thank you for this time Finland!
Until next time ❤️

So this post I was supposed to do maybe a week ago or so? But all my programs that I use to edit and even transfer my photos into my computer kind of gave up on life, only to magically start working again today?! So today it is.
About a week ago there was bootycaaaamp! Which is, well, AKBabes bootcamp, during which I go to stockholm, and during 2-4 days we do nothing but dance, practice and practice yet a little more. There might be occasional contacting of cons, writing of skits and recording of lines, but more than anything - we dance.

I arrived in Stockholm super early (it takes 3-5 hours by train from Gothenburg to Stockholm), and I spent the morning studying my Japanese history class before cutie Elvina and Joss came to hang out and shop for fabric and socks for our upcoming costumes!

But the calm shopping date didn't last for long, and we headed for our first training of the weekend.
We learn all the dances from looking at AKB's performances, and mainly, the happily bouncing three in the photo below put together our choreographies, as they are, well, the best dancers.

We rarely get to use a real dance studio, so we practice using large windows on a school nearby two of the member's house for mirrors! Thank god the kids aren't there during the weekends.. I love practicing there though, being outside makes training for hours and hours easier and more fun! Nothing worse than trying to dance in a badly ventillated studio. Brrrr.

One thing is for sure during bootycamps; there will be a great need for food and cold drinks. When we're starting to forget our moves and steps, get annoyes with each other or ourselves, you can bet that almost every time it's because we're hungry. You try dancing 7-9 hours a day - I think you'd understand.

The tired crew. I love these girls to death. ♥

During break-time there's a lot of cutting songs to the short versions we like to use, discussing future performances(and well assorted silly and quite 18+ topics..........), playing Idol games and cuddling up with sore muscles and brains mushy from all the new choreographies.

I'm always so sad when I have to leave the girls after a bootycamp. We live together and spend every second together during just a couple of days, and then I suddenly have to go back home and return to the real life again. It's kind of surreal, how different it is when I get off the train in Stockholm, and when I get back in Gothenburg.

The worst part about the bootycamps is that despite me being in Stockholm almost once a month, I don't really have time to meet my other friends, since I usually only have about 3 days to learn an entire new dance. This time around however, I had a 4-hour fika with some of the girls and my friend Tomasz!
I tried Espresso house's liquorice and rasperry frapino and woooow. I know what I'll be drinking this summer! Rasberry/liquorice and violets/liquorice really are my favorite flavor combinations. ♥
Well this was quite the drabble, but hopefully you got a look into the crazy tiring world of the sweaty bootycamps that will wear you down to nothing and leave you with sore muscles and a mushy brain for days - yet we have so much fun it's all worth it in the end. ♥
Until next time. ♥

Shironuri

A while back, probably in February or so, my friend Sanna wanted to shoot some shironuri (shironuri basically means "paint/smear white", and is a traditional Japanese way of make up, I think? Lately it's trending again in Japan, much thanks to the new thinking out-of-the-box shironuri artist Minori!) in the snow!
I've never done shironuri makeup before, and we worked with waaaayyyy budget products, so it was tricky and completely new for me, I would have wanted to practice a bit more and I'd love to do it some day again, but I really love how Sanna worked with the photos! ♥ Here are my favorites:

But it was super fun, and I can't wait to have more photoshoots with Sanna soon, you should all go and check her out because her work is great!

I'm also having some trouble with making my computer and my camera cooperate, but I'm working on that so that I can share some new stuff soon..!
Until next time! ♥
