Bootycamp

So this post I was supposed to do maybe a week ago or so? But all my programs that I use to edit and even transfer my photos into my computer kind of gave up on life, only to magically start working again today?! So today it is.
About a week ago there was bootycaaaamp! Which is, well, AKBabes bootcamp, during which I go to stockholm, and during 2-4 days we do nothing but dance, practice and practice yet a little more. There might be occasional contacting of cons, writing of skits and recording of lines, but more than anything - we dance.

I arrived in Stockholm super early (it takes 3-5 hours by train from Gothenburg to Stockholm), and I spent the morning studying my Japanese history class before cutie Elvina and Joss came to hang out and shop for fabric and socks for our upcoming costumes!

But the calm shopping date didn't last for long, and we headed for our first training of the weekend.
We learn all the dances from looking at AKB's performances, and mainly, the happily bouncing three in the photo below put together our choreographies, as they are, well, the best dancers.

We rarely get to use a real dance studio, so we practice using large windows on a school nearby two of the member's house for mirrors! Thank god the kids aren't there during the weekends.. I love practicing there though, being outside makes training for hours and hours easier and more fun! Nothing worse than trying to dance in a badly ventillated studio. Brrrr.

One thing is for sure during bootycamps; there will be a great need for food and cold drinks. When we're starting to forget our moves and steps, get annoyes with each other or ourselves, you can bet that almost every time it's because we're hungry. You try dancing 7-9 hours a day - I think you'd understand.

The tired crew. I love these girls to death. ♥

During break-time there's a lot of cutting songs to the short versions we like to use, discussing future performances(and well assorted silly and quite 18+ topics..........), playing Idol games and cuddling up with sore muscles and brains mushy from all the new choreographies.

I'm always so sad when I have to leave the girls after a bootycamp. We live together and spend every second together during just a couple of days, and then I suddenly have to go back home and return to the real life again. It's kind of surreal, how different it is when I get off the train in Stockholm, and when I get back in Gothenburg.

The worst part about the bootycamps is that despite me being in Stockholm almost once a month, I don't really have time to meet my other friends, since I usually only have about 3 days to learn an entire new dance. This time around however, I had a 4-hour fika with some of the girls and my friend Tomasz!
I tried Espresso house's liquorice and rasperry frapino and woooow. I know what I'll be drinking this summer! Rasberry/liquorice and violets/liquorice really are my favorite flavor combinations. ♥
Well this was quite the drabble, but hopefully you got a look into the crazy tiring world of the sweaty bootycamps that will wear you down to nothing and leave you with sore muscles and a mushy brain for days - yet we have so much fun it's all worth it in the end. ♥
Until next time. ♥
